THE MATERNAL REVOLUTION
We're an organization working to revolutionize American motherhood; what it looks like, feels like and how it's valued and perceived. We endeavor to confront and alleviate the current inequalities that exist within the maternal space while also fostering sisterhood within it while creating pathways that lead to maternal social policies.
MEET OUR FOUNDERS
In 2020, after a discussion about the inequality and lack of support American moms experience, they were inspired to create a movement. A maternal movement that endeavors to revolutionize the way in which society views and values Moms. A revolution that will result in increased equality, sisterhood and maternal social that every mother deserves.
Mellissa Wood & Natalie Stanback
As it stands today, American mothers lack support, respect and equality. Moms currently face a host of issues: they have no federally paid parental leave, they face astronomical childcare costs, often times they lack quality and safe childcare options, they experience rising maternal
death rates and lack safe and competent maternal healthcare. Deep inequality exists among mothers and among mothers and the greater population. American mothers have fierce competition with each other, are often isolated, pitted against one another and lack community and inner motherhood support.
